About Marsel
Marsel runs a foodservice distribution business across the South. He is from Pogradec and based in Texas, and the job has put him on a first-name basis with half the Albanian-owned restaurants, grocers, and pizzerias in the region — and with the families behind them.
That is exactly the role he plays at NAR. Marsel has always been the connector — the person who knows somebody in every city and makes the introduction without being asked. The registry gives that instinct somewhere to land: every kitchen-table conversation he has been having for years can now end with a name added to the count.
He leads outreach in Texas and carries the registry into the diaspora outside the Northeast — the Albanian America that built itself far from New York and Detroit, and that the old maps of the community mostly leave out.
