About Ervin

Ervin is from Fier. He came to New York at 13, in 1997, during the unrest that followed the collapse of the pyramid schemes. He earned a BBA at Pace University and an MBA at Wagner College, and has spent close to two decades in international mobility — today as a senior leader at Standard Chartered. Outside work he serves as President of the New York Chapter of the Albanian American National Organization, hosts the Red Line Talk Show podcast, and founded Shq1pe Co., the first Albanian-American clothing brand.

He started NAR in 2026 over a single number. The U.S. Census records about 224,000 Albanian Americans; the community knows the real figure is closer to a million. Albanian Americans have built churches, mosques, federations, and local chapters for over a century — what the community never had is one shared national count, a single place where every Albanian American, from every region and every generation, shows up in the same number. That gap is the reason NAR exists.

As President, Ervin chairs the board and is the public face of the registry — the person who answers for it to registrants, partner organizations, and the press, in English and in Albanian.
