Director of Community Outreach · National
Iliriana Sela, MS, MBA
Officer of the National Albanian Registry — an unpaid volunteer, like the whole board.
About Iliriana
Iliriana was born in New York — a second-generation Albanian American with family roots in Dibra. She is a Physician Assistant and healthcare leader with both an MS and an MBA; her career spans clinical operations, patient advocacy, and strategic program development.
As Director of Community Outreach, she runs the national side of the field operation: the regional ambassadors, the partner organizations, the community events where the registry actually meets people. Her healthcare background carries over directly — outreach, like patient advocacy, is mostly listening first and following through.
Her reason is personal. She grew up American-born in a family the count never saw — ethnic Albanians from outside Albania's borders, the exact people a single ancestry write-in misses. For her, NAR is the first record where being Albanian is something you state yourself and it stands: her family, her generation, and the next one, counted as what they are.
