Advisory Board

A real seat at the table for people who know the work.

The Advisory Board is the body the Managing Board consults before any consequential decision affecting Albanian Americans. Apply by sector. Volunteer. Quarterly meetings. Two-year renewable terms. No financial contribution required.

The sectors

Each sector card frames the role. You can apply from any sector page or from the form below. Apply for one sector or many.

How the seat works

Contribution
$0. Free seat. Criteria-gated, not money-gated.
Term
2 years, renewable.
Cadence
Quarterly meetings — first Friday 7pm ET pattern.
Authority
Per-advisor vote on three actions: data-usage policy change, bylaws amendment, dissolution. No fiduciary duty — advisors give counsel, they don't bind the org. Per Article IV-A + II.

What advisors do

  • Show up to the quarterly meetings (in person, video, or hybrid)
  • Read the agenda + decision memos before meetings
  • Cast your vote when advisory concurrence is required (data policy, bylaws, dissolution)
  • File a Conflict-of-Interest disclosure annually
  • Connect NAR to people in your sector when it makes sense — introductions, amplification, problem-solving

Apply

No references required. The board reviews applications weekly; we get back to everyone within 7–14 days.
