National Albanian Registry United States of America

Policy

Refund policy.

Plain-English. Built for the realities of human error, not buyer's remorse.

Donations are not refundable.

Gifts to the National Albanian Registry are made voluntarily. Once received, every dollar is accounted for in the annual Impact Report — line item, by name, by region. We don't return donations on a change of heart, a re-budgeted month, or because the work isn't moving fast enough for you.

Exception: human error.

We refund verified mistakes. If any of the below happened to you, email [email protected] within 30 days of the transaction with the date and amount:

  • ·You typed the wrong amount (an extra zero, a missed decimal).
  • ·You were charged twice for the same gift.
  • ·You meant to donate to a different organization.
  • ·An unauthorized charge appeared on your card.

We'll review and refund verified errors in full to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. A real human reads every email. We won't ask you to prove anything beyond what a reasonable person would want to confirm — bank statements, screenshots, or a short explanation are usually enough.

Sponsorships.

Business sponsorship payments follow the same rules: not refundable once your public listing goes live, except in the case of clear human error reported within 30 days. If you change your mind before we publish your listing, email us — we'll refund and remove your name from the queue, no questions.

Tax-deductibility.

NAR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (IRS determination pending). When we issue a refund, we also void the corresponding tax receipt. If you've already filed taxes claiming a deduction for a refunded gift, you're responsible for amending — but we'll provide whatever documentation your accountant needs.

Contact.

All refund requests, billing disputes, or questions: [email protected]. Replies within 24 hours, weekdays. Real humans on the other end.

Effective April 26, 2026. We update this policy when we change how we operate, never retroactively. Past gifts honor the policy that existed at the time of giving.
