Albanian Professionals in DC (APDC)

Albanian Professionals in DC (APDC) is an Albanian-American professional and community network based in the Washington, DC area. Its stated aim is to connect and bring closer the Albanian community in Washington, DC, with a focus on professionals living and working in the metro region.

APDC's members include Albanians employed at major US and international institutions, among them the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund. That professional composition shapes the group's orientation toward policy, economics, and international affairs alongside its community-building work.

The organization takes part in broader DC diaspora coordination. Representatives of APDC joined other Albanian-American groups — including VATRA, the Albanian-American National Organization, and the Albanian-American Academy — at a meeting of roughly 20 Albanian professionals from the DC metro area to help establish a DC Albanian Diaspora Group, where each organization presented its history, structure, and mission.

APDC has also engaged in diaspora-rights dialogue. In partnership with the diaspora platform Germin, the group helped host an open discussion in DC about the social and political rights of the Albanian diaspora, an event APDC publicly acknowledged through its own channels.

The group maintains a presence on Facebook and Instagram under the APDC name, where it shares its mission statement and event activity for Albanians in the capital region.
