Holy Pascha — Orthodox Easter — is the most significant celebration of the Albanian Orthodox liturgical year. St. John Chrysostom Albanian Orthodox Church in Center City Philadelphia, established 1931, is one of the oldest Albanian Orthodox parishes in North America. The Pascha midnight liturgy gathers parishioners and visitors from across the Delaware Valley for the procession, paschal greeting, and the traditional sharing of red eggs, lamb, and Albanian cuisine in the church hall.
