After the auction

Where the money went, what was charged, and why two lots are marked not sold.

What did the auction raise?

$1,830, from the five lots that sold. Every dollar goes to the Next Generation Scholarship for Albanian-American students. Bids on lots that did not sell are not in that figure, because nobody was charged for them.

Why did two lots not sell?

One lot drew no bids, and one lot closed with the top bid short of the reserve the donor set, so it did not sell and no card was charged. A lot that does not sell raises nothing, so it is counted as nothing.

Was my card charged?

Only if you won a lot. Winning cards were charged automatically the moment that lot closed, and the receipt is in your wrap-up. Every other card on file was never charged at all.

I won a lot. How do I get it?

Winners arranged pickup or delivery with the organizers on the day. If something of yours is still outstanding, say so on the feedback form and it reaches the team who ran the auction.

Is a winning bid tax-deductible?

Winning bids supported AANO's scholarship fund for Albanian-American students. Keep your receipt. Whether any part of a winning bid is deductible depends on the item's value and your own taxes, so check with your tax advisor.

Can I still give?

Yes. The scholarship fund stays open after the auction, and a direct gift goes to the same place a winning bid did.

Where the money goes

Every dollar of the $1,830 funds the Next Generation Scholarship for Albanian-American students.
